Short intro

Mean Business is the second and final studio album by The Firm, released by Atlantic Records on 3 February 1986. Repeating the same bluesy formula as on the first album, The Firm 1985, Mean Business did not achieve the same commercial success. One of the album's tracks, Live in Peace, was first recorded on Paul Rodgers' first solo album in 1983, Cut Loose. The versions differ in that Chris Slade played the drums slower than on the original version, apart from the ending. MEAN BUSINESS is the second and final studio album by The Firm, released by Atlantic Records on February 3, the same bluesy formula as Page - The Firm: Mean Business 1986. Instead of copying the finely crafted riffs of Radioactive, The Firm's second and final album wallowed in the banal arena rock that only occasionally appeared on the debut. Mean Business. There are several bands called The Firm. 1 The Firm were an English rock supergroup comprising former Free and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers, ex-Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, ex-Uriah Heep and Manfred Mann's Earth Band drummer Chris Slade and bass player Tony Franklin. Although Mean Business remains the Firm's final effort, Slade revealed in 2014 that they'd entertained the idea of a reunion on at least one occasion, and hinted that the possibility was still there for more music if the stars aligned properly. We were going to put it together again. There were talks between their people, our people, people and other people and it was going to be put back together, said Slade.
