More of the Hard Stuff is a studio album by The Dubliners, originally released in 1967. The line-up consists of Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Barney McKenna, Ciarán Bourke and John Sheahan. True to its title, five of the songs concern hard drinking. One of the songs was written by Brendan Behan, another by his brother Dominic. The album reached number 8 in the UK album charts in 1967, and stayed in the charts for 23 weeks. Muirsheen Durkin Traditional. A Drop of the Hard Stuff - The Dubliners. Songs in album The Dubliners - More Of The Hard Stuff 1967. The Dubliners - Muirsheen Durkin. The Dubliners - Poor Old Dicey Rilley. The Dubliners - A Nation Once Again. The Dubliners - Whiskey In The Jar. The Dubliners - The Old Triangle. The Dubliners - A Pub With No Beer. The Dubliners - Kelly, The Boy From Killan. The Dubliners - Croppy Boy. This was also the album on which the group introduced its de facto signature tune, Whiskey in the Jar. The high spirits and the ebullience of the performances almost mask the fact that these guys are virtuoso players and second-to-nobody as singers - as a result, the whole album rates multiple listens, even more so than its predecessor. Producer Tommy Scott. This album, the rather unimaginatively titled More of the Hard Stuff, followed later the same year and carried on in much the same style as its predecessor and introduced us to Whiskey in the Jar. A lot of the material released on the Major Minor label was actually very good indeed, and the four albums they released by the Dubliners still sound great today. The Major Minor albums include this one, its predecessor -A Drop of the Hard Stuff- from earlier in 1967 and the two albums from 1968 - Drinkin' & Courtin' and At It Again
