Some ideas work better than others, and the listen is even occasionally inconsistent. But would the killer moments be as killer if the lulls weren't there to highlight them. The latter track is actually an interesting representation of One Of Us Is the Killer, revisiting the quirky pop edge of the bands single Black Bubblegum and expanding upon it in a much more satisfying manner. And Nothings Funny plays similarly to other tracks here, in that the band reimagines older ideas in more logical and lasting ways. The only areas in which Dillingers latest falls flat is in its lack of stylistic uniformity. The Dillinger Escape Plan is one of the most controversial bandsI'm not sure whether or not to call this album perfect. I love this album. The Dillinger Escape Plan is one of the most controversial bands around, but regardless, they kick major ass. Nobody blows my mind quite like this band. Especially when it comes to their new album, One of Us Is the Killer. DEP finally blends together whatDillinger's latest album effort, One Of Us Is The Killer, is definitely a step-up from their previous LP. DEP finally blends together what made Ire Works and Option work so well into one album that suits everyone's needs
