Totally agreed with iamdek & 8892sales regarding this release.The sleeve is full-on epicness, a wet dream for fans of oldschool rave. Sadly, the track itself falls somewhat short.All the elements are in place for what should be a storming tune, but yes the vocal samples are too much and the screaming Italo riff doesn't really sit well with the rough Dutch beats & stabs.It's alright, don't get me wrong, but it could have been so much better as a "dub". Maybe someone could do a re-edit...

If you loved LA Style - James Brown is Dead, then you might love The Curse - All Systems (Are Go). Made by the same producer and sampling NASA's recordings from Mission Control space launches, All Systems (Are Go) is a loud and strong early rave techno track that somewhat rearranges the familiar sounds of James Brown is Dead into a similar but at the same time different track.

The sleeve depicts a stark post-apocalyptic scene with three anonymous figures in heavy duty chemical suits and full-face gas masks. Pure quality. However, the accompanying vinyl doesn't quite conjour up the same level of emotion. The repeated 'all systems are go' vocal from what sounds like a launch sequence can get a little too much, and the promised 'Dark Side' in the title just doesn't quite make it's mark. Saying that, it is still a solid slice of early techno-tinged euro hardcore worth checking.

Fully agree with the sentiments regarding vocal samples. Complete and utter overkill. Unfortunately, like many other releases from this period, spoiling an otherwise half decent tune. Although in this case, half decent's being generous if I was being perfectly honest. Production's not bad though :)
