It took a lot out of me, but Im actually happy with the result, which surprises me more than anyone. With this record, I strove to keep things diverse and not fall into a definable pattern. Variety is the spice of life, after all. When you purchase something on this page, the money is going directly to The Council of Days with no mediators. I belong to no label and handle the promotion, distribution and everything else myself. This money helps me pay for recording, CD manufacturing, shipping costs, t-shirts and other merchandise. Dark Night of the Soul is a studio album by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse, featuring collaborations by numerous notable musicians. Its release was postponed due to a legal dispute with the album's distributor EMI. It was finally released in July 2010, about a year after it had been leaked to the Internet and Danger Mouse had released a blank CD-R as a way of working around the dispute. His sound places an emphasis on strong percussion, angular, icy guitar riffs, deep, prominent bass lines and smooth, baritone vocals.
