Short intro
All My Loving is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, from their second UK album With the Beatles 1963. Though not officially released as a single in the United Kingdom or the United States, the song drew considerable radio airplay, prompting EMI to issue it as the title track of an EP. The song was released as a single in Canada, where it became a number one hit. The Canadian single was. The Beatles recorded All My Loving on four occasions for BBC radio. The first was on 17 December 1963, for Saturday Club, which was broadcast on 21 December. The second BBC recording was made on 18 December 1963, for the first From Us To You show, which was broadcast on 26 December. The final version, which was included on the Live At The BBC album, was for From Us To You it was recorded on 28 February and first heard by listeners on 30 March. More famously, All My Loving was the first song performed by The Beatles on their debut appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in New York on 9 February 1964. All My Loving was the song that made the immediate good first impression and that kept that huge television audience tuned in for the whole show. And, as George Harrison stated, While the show was on, there were no reported crimes, or very few. When The Beatles were on Ed Sullivan, even the criminals had a rest for ten minutes. To be complete, we must also mention The Beatles' appearance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California, on August 23rd, 1964. This show, including All My Loving, was recorded for an intended live album to be released in late 1964 by Capitol in the US. JOHN 1980: ''All My Loving' is Paul, I regret to say. Because it's a damn fine piece of work. But I play a pretty mean guitar in back. PAUL 1984: 'Yeah, I wrote that one. It was the first song I ever wrote where I had the words before the music. I wrote the words on a bus on tour, then we got the tune when I arrived there. The first time I've ever worked upside down. PAUL 1988: 'I think that was the first song where I wrote the words without the tune. I wrote the words on the tour bus during our tour with Roy Orbison. We did alot of writing then. Текст песни: Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you. Remember I'll always be true. And then while I'm away, I'll write home every day, And I'll send all my loving to you. Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you. I'll pretend that I'm kissing the lips I am missing, And hope that my dreams will come true. Last weekend we asked our readers to vote on their favorite Beatles albums. The votes are tabulated and here's the top ten list. It was a ludicrously tight race, with the top LP winning by a mere two votes. As always, don't blame us if you disagree with the votes. Pepper and Pet Sounds and now Rolling Stone readers have declared it the single greatest Beatles album. They have a very strong case. Building on the artistic leap displayed on Rubber Soul, Revolver features early experiments in psychedelic music Tomorrow Never Knows and more complex and mature material than the band had previously attempted Eleanor Rigby, Here, There and Everywhere. All my loving, I will send to you, All my loving, Darling, I'll be true. Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, Tomorrow I'll miss you Remember I'll always be true. And then while I'm away, I'll write home everyday, And I'll send all my loving to you. All my loving, All my loving, oo, All my loving I will send to you. All My Loving. Though it was not released as a single in the United Kingdom or the United States, it drew considerable radio airplay, prompting EMI to issue it as the title track of an EP.
