Alternative Mash was produced by Phil Punch and the Beasts of Bourbon, which should be indicative enough from such titles alone what kind of a raucous affair the album is. With the enigmatic Tex Perkins, who could be one of rock & roll's last great frontmen, and the blistering slide-guitar-driven sound, the band does a fine job of re-creating the sound of a twisted night out at the pub. is there really no cover?i have an LP Sour Mash which looks like the normal LP one, but i also got a 7" single which is only on this release!!! but i also got a normal Sour Mash Cover, no Sticker which says includes 7"!, can someone add some infos on this? Matrix?
i am confused, cause nobody here has a cover, all generics. my 7" is also in a plain white sleeve, on my LP cover i cant see that someone removed the sticker (or he did it very clean?).On the back of the cover it stands: Manufactured and marketed by NORMAL Rec. ( as on the normal LP germany version).my matric number on the LP is the same as on the normal germany LP version: SNB RED LP 5 A (thats on side A)SNB RED LP 5B (thats matrix on side B)
I think NORMAL Records used for their german release the same cover like the edition without the 7". But they closed the cover with a black tape. You can see it at the Picture from "the axeman's jazz" from NORMAL Records (1988). Maybe the tape from your copy was removed?
