Short intro

Smile is an unfinished album by the American rock band the Beach Boys that was planned to follow their 11th studio album Pet Sounds 1966. It was to be a twelve-track concept LP assembled from short, interchangeable musical fragments similar to the group's 1966 single Good Vibrations. Instead, the album was shelved and the group released a downscaled version, Smiley Smile, in September 1967. Over the next four decades, few of the original Smile tracks were officially released, and the project came. Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей The Beach Boys. SMiLE 2011 Version Tracklist. Our Prayer Smile Version Lyrics. Gee Lyrics. SMiLE is the greatest American pop album never heard and possesses perhaps the greatest legend of any American album. Its non-existence has been the obsession of the bands fans for a half-century. Though it existed in many forms across the internet for several years, Capitol Records released a collection of songs titled The Smile Sessions this collection amounted to what the album would have sounded like if it had been released in 1967. The following tracklist is an admittedly incomplete list of the recordings on Sessions. Smile sometimes stylized as SMiLE was a projected album by American rock band the Beach Boys intended to follow their 11th studio album, Pet Sounds 1966. After bandleader Brian Wilson abandoned large portions of music recorded over a ten-month period, the band substituted its release with Smiley Smile 1967, an album containing stripped-down remakes of some Smile material. In May 1966, the Beach Boys released their eleventh studio album, Pet Sounds, a project largely conceived and directed by bandleader and principal songwriter Brian Wilson. Only in 2003, when long-time Beach Boys fanatic and tape trader Darian Sahanaja and his band the Wondermints collaborated with Brian on a live version of SMiLE and 2004's Brian Wilson Presents SMiLE album did the lost record assume a definitive shape. But as exciting as that record was at the time, the lure of the originals never went away. Listen free to The Beach Boys Smile Our Prayer, Heroes and Villains, Part 1 and more. 21 tracks 53:48. Smile sometimes typeset with the idiosyncratic partial capitalization SMiLE is an unreleased album by The Beach Boys recorded throughout 1966 and 1967. Smile has come to be regarded as the most famous unreleased album of all time. Smiley Smile, the Beach Boys album that emerged from the Smile era, made its US album chart debut on 30 September 1967. After the much-discussed, uncompleted Smile project - which was supposed to take the innovations of Pet Sounds to even grander heights - collapsed, the Beach Boys released Smiley Smile in its place. To clarify much confusion: Smiley Smile is an entirely different piece of work than Smile would have been, although some material that ended up on Smiley Smile would have most likely been used on Smile. Also, much of Smiley Smile was in fact recorded after the Smile sessions had ceased
