The event was to see off the young aspiring producer, who was about to depart for Los Angeles, and together with a number of musician friends, the two jammed on some blues-rock standards. In 2006, The Basics began recording what was to become known as Stand OutFit In. Taking several months, it was not completed until the end of the year, despite intentions to have it released in June.
