Short intro

How I Learned To Love The Bootboys - The Auteurs. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. How I Learned to Love the Bootboys is the fourth and final album by British alternative rock band The Auteurs. All songs written by Luke Haines, except where noted. Original CDLP CDHUT53HUTLP53. The Rubettes Luke Haines, John Moore, Bickerton, Waddington - 3:27. How I Learned to Love the Bootboys - 3:05. While each of the Auteurs' three prior LPs are equally arresting, there are points at which the mind tends to wander, but not here. Haines' familiar themes of Englishness, youth, and hooliganism remain, playing like another short movie. The cohesiveness of the record is no small feat, given the wide-ranging sounds and moods. Opening bedroom tale The Rubettes features a delicate, Brill Building lullaby chorus while a repetitive staccato riff offplays the fragility. 1999 Virgin Records Ltd. More By The track from the 1999 album of the same name. The final Auteurs fourth and ultimately final album, How I Learned To Love The Bootboys was re-released last month. Part of the second batch of Auteurs reissues put together by 3Loop Music, Bootboys is the bands lost album. As Luke Haines states in the liner notes it was their least successful effort commercially and critically and was recorded over a period of one year and half while Hainess other project Black Box Recorder was gathering momentum. Despite its rather convoluted gestation, the album is remarkably consistent. The Auteurs : How I Learned to Love the Bootboys,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. Turn Out the Lights
How I Learned to Love the Bootboys is so sweet that one can almost sweeten a cup of tea with it but it is so poisonous that one can almost poison rats with it. All these chimes, cellos, organ whispers give it the church atmosphere but all voluptuous sneering and equivocal innuendoes suggest an entourage of bordello. Songs of adultery and family affairs, requiems for the gone youth and lost innocence, ballads about music fetishes and how to get a hatchet man to ice a former sweetheart. In short: "Come on baby do the juke box jive, rock and roll will never die". Sweetness of smiles blends with the salt of tears.
