A pastiche of concert and studio recordings from The Albion's words-and-music presentations from 1977 to 1989, it's a nicely-crafted program, pleasantly strung together. The Albion Band, also known as The Albion Country Band, The Albion Dance Band, and The Albion Christmas Band, were a British folk rock band, originally brought together and led by musician Ashley Hutchings. Generally considered one of the most important groupings in the genre, it has contained or been associated with a large proportion of major English folk performers in its long and fluid history. The Albion Band Christmas Show 1984-86 - recorded by Mike Warren. The Wild Side Of Town - from the TV programme 1987 live recordings from 1988 - An Easter Garland 1984-85 - recorded by Mike Warren - First performed in the play 'Lark Rise' - an adaptation of Flora Thompson's book 'Lark Rise To Candleford'. From the film 'Key To The North' 1989. This album was compiled in 1990-1991. Remastered for CD 1997.
