'This record brings together all thirteen tracks recorded during two weeks of sessions with producer John Leckie at Abbey Road Studios, late in 1977. Eleven songs were to form the album Crossing The Red Sea, two others were dropped from the final release but have now been reincorporated into the running order. (New Day Dawning was held back for a B-side to the single No Time To Be 21, the re-recorded Gary Gilmore's Eyes was intended for a U.S. release only)'

Includes a 16-page informative booklet with notes by Dave Thompson as well as the song lyrics.

There were at least 5000 red vinyl copies issued not 500.It was common to own one in 1978 but rarely played as well as black vinyl copies.Discogs is wrong referring to 500 so inflated prices in error.

Black vinyl copies preceeded the red vinyl release by at least one week due to some kind of 'error', although red vinyls were intended to be in the shops first! There were also some alternate handmade sleeves made up house the initial copies of the red vinyl release. These consisted of a homemade cut & paste A4 xerox design glued to the front of a generic white card sleeve
