These naturally showcase Tad Morose paying affectionate tribute to their heroes, and include renditions of Uriah Heep's Rainbow Demon, Accept's Losing More Than You've Ever Had, and - perhaps worth sitting down for - ABBA's Knowing Me, Knowing You. Modus Vivendi takes the eldritch atmospherics of Undead and blends them with the catchy hooks and straight-up power of Matters of the Dark. But what makes this album work, and what makes it a worthy entry in Tad Moroses discography, is that it has emotional weight behind it, to an even greater degree than its predecessor. And Tad mix it up superbly with speedier elements as well: No Mercy, Clearly Insane and especially Mother Shiptons Words sear at every bit as high a temperature and velocity as anything else theyve done before or since but without losing at all that same weight. Urban breed, forum. Their 2003 album, Modus Vivendi, showcases their talents very well, and IMO, is a forgotten classic. One of the most powerful aspects of Modus Vivendi is Urban Breed's vocals. Urban Breed is one of the most talented vocalists in power metal, and puts forth a great deal of effort in Modus Vivendi. Tad Morose uses this to their advantage, often starting off with a crushing riff to set an aggressive atmosphere right from the get go. The ensuing riff-fest that follows the many pounding intros found on this cd are very enjoyable to listen to. Another thing that separates Modus Vivendi from other power metal records is the soloing.
