T with the Maggies is the debut album from Irish Celtic-folk supergroup T with the Maggies. It was released on 29 October 2010 in Ireland and on 22 February 2011 in the United States. T with the Maggies, a group of individual international singers came together in 2007 to celebrate the life and music of Mícheál Ó Domhnaill, Triona and Maighread's older brother. The members, good friends for four decades, began touring together and started recording in July 2009. They began recording the album in An. T with the Maggies. T with the Maggies started as a one-off collaboration between Maighread Ni Dhomhnaill, Moya Brennan of Clannad, Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh of Altan, and Triona Ni Dhomhnaill of the Bothy Band. They were brought together by Roise Goan Maighread Ni Dhomhnaill's daughter for a performance at the Temple Bar Trad Festival in Dublin, and the musical chemistry was such that the collaboration continued. It eventually resulted in this album, which consists of new songs written by members of the quartet some in English and some in Gaelic along with a version of Richard Thompson's Far.
