Steve Jordan's facility with uptempo or ballad material, polkas, waltzes, traditional Mexican and reworked American rock, pop and country helped established his base, as did a number of regional singles and albums. The 12 tunes on this anthology were recorded between 1976 and 1984 for the Freddie and Joe labels in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, including salsaAfro-Latin jazz cuts, blues and country-tinged numbers.
