Short intro
93 'til Infinity is the debut album by Souls of Mischief. It was released on September 28, 1993 by Jive. The sound of 93 'til Infinity is characteristic of the distinct style explored by the collective, including a rhyme scheme based on internal rhyme and beats centered around a live bass and obscure jazz and funk samples. 93 'til Infinity was released during a period in which the collective released several critically acclaimed albums including Del tha Funkee Homosapien's No Need for Alarm and. 93 Til Infinity is the debut album from the Oakland, California crew Souls of Mischief, released on September 28, 1993 through Jive Records. The album was the second released from the Hieroglyphics collective, following Del The Funky Homosapiens 1991 debut I Wish My Brother George Was Here and released months before Dels second album No Need For Alarm and Casuals debut Fear Itself. All of these albums were critically acclaimed for their alternative West Coast style that strayed away from the gangsta rap and G-Funk sound of the time. The albums heavily sampled productions were handled by S. Songs in album Souls Of Mischief - 93 'til Infinity 1993. Souls Of Mischief - Let 'Em Know. Souls Of Mischief - Live And Let Live. One of hip-hop's great lost masterpieces, 93 'Til Infinity is the best single album to come out of Oakland's Hieroglyphics camp, and ranks as a seminal early classic of the West Coast underground. The Souls of Mischief weren't even out of their teens when they completely redefined the art of lyrical technique for the West Coast, along with fellow standard-bearers Freestyle Fellowship, the Pharcyde, and Hiero founder Del tha Funkee Homosapien. 93 Til Infinity is a record revolving around a group of misfits from Oakland as they document the pressures that they face Live And Let Live in a semi-moral-less environment peep the robbery story in What A Way To Go Out while still exhibiting fun with youthful exuberance A Name I Call Myself, 93 Til Infinity hard to recapture. The only drawbacks As with any group hip-hop record, there are just too many voices for the average listener to follow a cohesive narrative and just as well the run time was bloated due to all the member. It also featured singles 'That's When Ya Lost' and 'Never No More' which also reached the Hot Rap Singles. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Albums of All Time. It takes some serious bravado to name your album 93 'Til Infinity, but certainly the goal of creating a Hip Hop 'classic' must have been on the collective minds of the group members A-Plus, Tajai, Opio, and Phesto when recording this landmark moment in Hip Hop history. We said 93 til infinity, and then the song is still here. Now you have people from younger generations who were born in 93, and theyre like, 93 til infinity. It means so many different things to so many different people. Jordan Sargent. Souls of Mischief. Recommended for you . Souls of Mischief Team With Snoop Dogg for There Is Only Now.
