These 1945 recordings, although not High Fidelity and with mechanical flaws, are published on the insistent demand of lovers of Irish tradition. Sorcha Ni Ghuairim, in their estimation, is the best singer yet recorded of this tradition.

She moved to England in 1955, apparently disillusioned with the future of the Irish language. She was found dead in her apartment in London, and appeared to have been dead for a period of time.
