Short intro

Itchycoo Park-The Ultimate Small Faces Tribute - The Itchycoo Parks. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Small Faces were an English rock band from London, founded in 1965. The group originally consisted of Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy. Itchycoo Park is a song written by Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane, first recorded by their group, the Small Faces. Largely written by Lane, it was one of the first music recordings to feature flanging, an effect at that time made possible by electro-mechanical processes. The location and etymology of the titular park has long been debated many claiming it to be Little Ilford Park in Manor Park, East London or Wanstead Flats in Wanstead, East London. The single was not featured on any of their UK. So Small Faces manager Tony Calder explained the song had an innocent interpretation. In Marriott's biography, All Too Beautiful, by Paolo Hewitt and John Hellier, Calder says: We told the BBC Itchycoo Park was waste ground in the East End which the band had played on as kids. We put the story out at ten and by lunchtime we were told the ban was off. McLagan from Uncut magazine: I never liked 'Itchycoo Park' because me and Ronnie had to sing, 'It's all too beautiful,' and you sing that a few times, and you think. It's not. A decent introduction to the Small Faces' British psychedelic phase on Immediate Records, Itchycoo Park has a nice cohesive feel, with its music hall trappings and endless phased guitars, and many fans feel that this was the group's most creative period. The group originally consisted of Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy Winston, with Ian McLagan replacing Winston as the band's keyboardist in 1966. The band was one of the most acclaimed and influential mod groups of the 1960s, recording hit songs such as Itchycoo Park, Lazy Sunday, All or Nothing, and Tin Soldier, as well as their concept album Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake. They later evolved into one of the UK's
