Screamfeeder is an Australian indie guitar pop group formed in Brisbane in 1991 with Tony Blades on drums, Kellie Lloyd on bass guitar and vocals and Tim Steward on guitar and vocals. In 1995 Dean Shwereb replaced Blades on the drums. Darek Mudge joined on lead guitar from 2001 to 2005, and rejoined in 2014. Screamfeeder have released seven studio albums, Flour June 1992, Burn Out Your Name August 1993, Fill Yourself With Music 1995, Kitten Licks 1996, Rocks on. Kitten Licks is the perfect title for a Screamfeeder album - their delivery is rough and ragged, but their melodies sweet and charming. That said, there's also a considerable amount of power both in the band's playing and in Tim Steward's evocative lyrics. Several of these songs first appeared on the Closing Alaska EP of two years previous, but it's hard to complain when the result is a solid listening experience. Kitten Licks. The band had parted with original drummer tony blades the previous year, and the drum stool was filled by a newcomer on the scene dean shwereb. Still cited to this day as one of australia's top drummers, dean's arrival sparked a whirlwind of inspiration for the song writing team of tim steward and kellie lloyd.
