We Gotta Get You a Woman is a 1970 song originally performed and written by Todd Rundgren from the 1970 album Runt. It reached No. 20 in US and Canada. The Four Tops did a cover of this song in is the self-titled debut of the band Runt, first released in 1970 on the Ampex Records label. Many regard the album as Todd Rundgren's debut solo classic piano-pop song was written by Todd Rundgren and performed with him and his temporary backing band, Runt, which he basically shed after this debut album to just be considered a solo artist. This is not to downplay the contribution of Hunt and Tony Sales the other Runts, also the sons of comedian Soupy Sales, but aside from their contribution of drums and bass, Rundgren wrote, sang, arranged, played, and produced the whole effort.
