Agree with Absurdino; sure the xxx lacks a punch if you're just listening to that record alone, but that space is meant for another tune to drop in. There's more than one way to skin a cat.Bought this probably over a decade ago, and just unearthed it after several years and listened. Didn't know that it was Trentemøller until today. No surprise, it's good.

purists, calm down. This is more of an edit than a remix, but it works, the track is easier to mix and less wackier. I actually dont like the added french vocals. besides that, it's just a dj friendly edit for the dancefloor. Also don't understand, A and B side look like the same track.

the french vocal is there in the original but only once. thats how you see that most of the track is just a loop of the groove part of the track. cant wait to play this one out.

Brits and nerds will hate me for saying this...but...I've played out this version more than the original. Even though the original is one of the best electronic music songs ever. (And possibly my favorite music video ever.) I've played this one out more because it's track-y-er. Which doesn't make for good pop music but DAMN this hits hard, especially when there's that excitement of recognition. "Yes you fuckers it's fucking Windowlicker. House style." The kids love it.

my opinion is not significant,,,,,,,however i like that hes extended the best parts of the song,, of course it lost the unexpected twisting and weaving of the avant garde orig but thats what the orig was for,,,,,,,this has its uses and made my life richer upon its discovery,,purists leave no room for new life

Mr. Anders Trentemøller has done EVERYTHING WRONG with this remix / regurgitation. What little good there is in this release comes from the original Aphex track; all that Mr.Trentemøllerr has managed to do is to re-edit Windowlicker in the most dull way possible; yes you can clap along to it down at your local supermarket / dancefloor but this is electronica's equivalent of Joe Dolce's "Shaddup-a-your-face". It retains NONE of the original sparkle that made Windowlicker so fresh. 5/5? hahahahaha! ...And the point of side B is what exactly?

Recently I listened to these tracks, and I must say I still prefer the original "Windowlicker". It's got a long intro, but then - finally - it gets going. BOOM! In my opinion, the remixes by R.J. lack this point. They have the intro from the Aphex Windowlicker, but whenever I think "Now, go!" they continue like they started, almost like shallow water. That's boring.

Mr. Anders Trentemøller can do no wrong. Windowlicker has always been an amazing track but it always had its trouble on the dancefloor as well. Anders Trentemøller aka Run Jeremy, has produced a remix (really more of a re-edit than remix) with updated drum programming and subtle slickness that make this clear piece of vinyl easy to mix. The beauty of the original combined with mixability and dancefloor devastation . . . why didn't anyone think of this sooner? Mad props to Anders Trentemøller on this one.
