This version was released in a special slipcase featuring a stars-and-stripes version of the Rolling Stones logo as part of The USA Collection, a series of reissues meant to promote the 2005 US tour. The CD itself appears to be the standard 1998 digital remaster by Bob Ludwig, and the CD packaging/barcode do not appear to be altered from the 1998 version. So the barcode on the disc is different from the barcode on the slipcase.

Short intro
17 tracks 78:24. Flashpoint, 1991. It was recorded using binaural recording. MG Records 2. The Flashpoint album is full of mainly well known live numbers, superbly performed by a band at the peak of their abilities. The two studio tracks, Highwire and Sex Drive, are the last songs to feature bassist and long-time member Bill Wyman as a Rolling Stone. Real Stones fans will also very much want the 'Collectibles' CD, to hear alternative and usually better versions of many previously released numbers. Flashpoint - The Rolling Stones. Naturally, the thencurrent studio album Steel Wheels is well-represented with Sad Sad Sad, Rock and a Hard Place, and the Keith Richards-sung Cant Be Seen, but the band also whips off Factory Girl from Beggars Banquet and Little Red Rooster with Eric Clapton guesting on guitar. Ferociously live, Flashpoint thunders against the cynical Zeitgeist of which Elliss monster is but the darkest example. Finally, Flashpoint underscores a truth: The Rolling Stones are hardly an oldies act, not one more dinosaur pack led out to stadiums to graze. Flashpoint is a live album by British rock band The Rolling Stones. The live portion of Flashpoint captures, in almost clinical sound, the band's 1989 - 90 tours. Now, with concerts packaged as lip-syncing stunts and MTV pantomimes, its startling to hear rock & roll so craftily passionate and from players whose ages hover near fifty and who come trailing chains of history, myth and cash.
