Greatest Hits is a collection of material by Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians from the A&M period 1988-1992, spanning the albums Globe of Frogs, Queen Elvis, Perspex Island, and Respect. The collection also includes various hard-to-find B-Sides, which acted as a strong selling point for Hitchcock's fans, including Legalized Murder, Ruling Class, Dark Green Energy and Bright Fresh Flower. In addition, two cover songs are. Critic Score. User Score. Or consider a donation 51. Todd Rundgren. Nearly Human. Roy Orbison. Robyn Hitchcock - Queen Elvis 1989. This is Hitchcock at a creative peak featuring some of his most introspectively wacky lyrics. For comparison, I like this one much more than GLOBE OF FROGS, which always seemed to be a more popular one. QUEEN ELVIS is basically fun, quirky guitar pop. Here's a brief rundown of the songs with some snippits from one of my favorite rock lyricists .
