Going Blank Again is the second studio album by British rock band Ride, released on 9 March 1992 on Creation Records. It was produced by Alan Moulder, and peaked at No. 5 in the UK Albums Chart. In October 2009 the album was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry for sales of over 100,000 units. The more edgy and hard hitting guitar work in particular is what makes this album such a standout to me. For a start its far patchier than its predecessor: Not Fazed is an odd and skippable foray into Primal Scream country, whilst Mouse Trap is just entirely unremarkable. But the title track is a gargantuan, sprawling triumph: eight minutes of intermittent flat vocals laid over those characteristic towering interlocking guitars.
