Short intro
Stiff Upper Lip is the 14th studio album by Australian hard rock band ACDC. It was the band's thirteenth internationally released studio album and the fourteenth to be released in Australia. It was released on February 28, 2000. The album was produced by George Young, older brother of Malcolm and Angus Young and this was the last ACDC album that George produced before his death in 2017. The album was re-released in the US on 17 April 2007 as part of the ACDC Remasters series. It was re-released in. This is trombonist Rick Stepton's third recording with this sextet, and it is the most developed of the lot. Although the band is not a regularly performing group, there is a natural elan among the players that is fully evident. Stepton continues to contribute catchy compositions, and his playing has come a long way since his days with Buddy Rich. Stiff Upper Lip. While the blues were never too far from the surface in the band's strutting, cocksure discographythere was a touch more of the bayou here than anything since the Bon Scott era. Brian Johnson kicks off the album at least two octaves below his normal growl, before Malcolm comes in with a greasy riff and just like thatthe band is blasting out another fist-hammering classic, Stiff Upper Lip. Stiff Upper Lip - an album that comes twenty years after ACDC were written off following the death of frontman Bon Scott - is everything we've come to expect from the band and absolutely nothing more. A wonderfully juvenile set of leering rawk, Lip is the first new album in five years from these middle-aged purists. The album has two factors in its favor: It's even louder than normal, and it was produced by George Young the older brother of guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young, which means Lip is old-school all the way this is the classic Back in Black lineup bashing out minimalist.
