Short intro

In music theory, harmonic rhythm, also known as harmonic tempo, is the rate at which the chords change or progress in a musical composition, in relation to the rate of notes. Thus a passage in common time with a stream of sixteenth notes and chord changes every measure has a slow harmonic rhythm and a fast surface or musical rhythm 16 notes per chord change, while a piece with a trickle of half notes and chord changes twice a measure has a fast harmonic rhythm and a slow surface rhythm. Rhythm is the fourth full-length album by Swedish husband and wife duo Wildbirds & Peacedrums, released on The Leaf Label on 3 November 2014. These pieces establish particular pitch classes as tonal centers, and in many cases the main activity of these pieces involves the drama of motion toward or away from these centers. Modulations provide motion away from the tonal center and set up intermediate goals, secondary tonal centers, that allow goal- directed motion on a smaller scale while retaining the overall tonal center as a final goal, reached conclusively only at the end. The most prominent characteristic of harmony in the minimalist style is its simplicity. Listen to music from Rhythm & Harmony like Eastside, Eastside Original Mix & more. Incidentally, rhythm often becomes more powerful in black and white photos because there is no colour, one of the strongest elements in a colour photo, to distract attention from the other elements of the composition rhythm, texture, tonal contrast and so on. The key to using rhythm to make your composition stronger is in first spotting the pattern or repetitive elements, then framing the scene in a way that emphasizes the rhythm. This is a test of your observational skills, and youll get better at it with practice. Simplicity and rhythm.
