The film Still Crazy is the story of the fictional '70s British rock band Strange Fruit. After showing their breakup in the late '70s, the movie follows the groups attempt to reunite in the late '90s. An obvious spoof of many bands from that era currently on the oldies circuit, it gave some good insight into how difficult it is for these bands to recapture their former glory. Composer's Notes Mr. Dever uses one note for all three movements: Revelations is the afterthought of Sburb. The three songs were added months after : The Beginning of the End - ADAMSHAME. In a 1990 interview with SongTalk magazine, Simon said: In 'Still Crazy After All These Years,' that title phrase came to me first. And it didn't come with melody, either. It just came as a line. Simon won the 1975 Grammy award for Best Pop Vocal Performance for this song, and the album won the Grammy for Album of the Year. At the ceremony, Paul Simon got up to make his acceptance speech and thanked Stevie Wonder, who'd won the previous two years, for not making an album that year. And the next year's Album of the Year Grammy went to Wonder again. Still Crazy wears its depression like a merit badge of sensitivity, sometimes pushing its unrelieved bleakness into the realm of self-parody. On My Little Town, a song which reunites Simon with erstwhile partner Art Garfunkel, the singers intone: And after it rainsTheres a rainbowAnd all of the colors are black. But it works scarcely less well than the color-coordinated pain - yellow sky, gray grass, orange juice, orange and blue rug - of I Do It for Your Love, a song whose interior contains more decoration than intensity.
