Short intro
This May Be the Year I Disappear is the second studio album by American rock band Recover, released on October 12, 2004. It is the band's first release on a major label and last album release before Recover went on hiatus in 2005. The cd version of the album features enhanced material. In late 2002 the band would sign to Universal Records and its imprint label Strummer Recordings, after touring in support of their EP Ceci n'est pas recover. More By Recover. Rodeo and Picasso. Another This May Be the Year I Disappear highlight is the bonus track, Big Choruses, which spells out one of the album's strongest traits. Big choruses, Keyes sings over an undeniably raucous guitar hook. So all the kids can sing along. Disappear I had already heard from a friend of a friend that played drums with the producer's former roomate's nephew. The song wasn't bad at all loud, catchy, and fun, sans the Cher vocals in the chorus. Slower and Fuck Me For Free are probably the best songs on the album. All in all, if you're a Recover fan, there's a chance you might still enjoy this record. Apparently these guys put on an awful live show with their love for breaking equipment and having long hair getting in the way of performing in a decent manner. I'm sure it always helped that their albums were decent. Now, I cannot see what they're going to do next. I know Continue to be the quintessential opening band. This May Be the Year I Disappear. Not so famous american band Recover have released their third full-length album This May Be The Year I Disappear. The record features varied content and it's not easy to mark any definite conception. It combines all of the modern tendencies - from punkhardcore to a germ of nu-metal, from peculiar hard rock to post-grunge sounds. Loaded with a couple energy anthems and a few sing-along tracks, The Year had not became a big thing in rock. We don't feel like we fit in with the whole hardcoremelodic-punkscreamowhatever's-going-on scene that people associate us with.
