The album Do You Ever Regret Pantomime 2000 has become the stuff of local folklore, a key work in the UKs rich history of IDM and ambient, and one of the most celebrated albums of the early noughties. Bizarrely, it even infiltrated the Billboard Top 100. Do You Ever Regret Pantomime is also very much a key statement from a producer who has chosen to stay in their own sp. This is a unique, beautiful and unbelievably well put together album from Pub. I love the willingness to use space, eq and compression as part of the intriguing sound world. If you are into this, check out the other 100-million-odd records on Ampoule and it's associated labels, they are extremely good too. Also, great job on making such a high-quality repress clear, clean, loud pressing : 返信 通知を希望する Helpful. The 11-track, 70-minute album was released in 2001, with the Glaswegian producer's dreamy mix of dub techno, IDM and ambient sounding remarkably current 20 years later. The Bandcamp version dropped on April 20th, with the wax due in June. The reissue marks the return of Pub's Ampoule Records imprint, which will put out a mix of new and archival releases going forwards

I have to say this is a forgettable affair. In The Meantime and Optimistic In Wonderland begin with a painfully ultra high pitch tone, rendering them unlistenable. A few of the tracks glide along smoothly, unsurprisingly Paper Aeroplane is one of them, as well as This Can't Be Happening. The noodling bleeps and boops that comprise the majority of the other tracks is neither particularly peaceful nor memorable. Not sure how the previous reviewer sees similarities to Bola or Basic Channel. For similar music in this vein I strongly favor Lackluster, Sense, Yasume, Stendec, Maps & Diagrams and Vessel.

ridiculously low rating, you're just being a contrarian, this was and still is a classic electronic album with plenty of memorable moments easily on par with any of the other artists mentioned but de gustibus whatever.

Possibly one of the most amazing Ambient albums EVER released. Stirring Ambience & swirling soundscapes from PUB, similar to Bola & Basic Channel at times too. I've lost track how many times I've heard this CD since I bought it. If there was an omnipresent movie camera recording everything we do on this planet, I believe this would be the accompaniment soundtrack. Music of dreams you wouldn't want to awake from!
