Short intro

Vienna is the fourth studio album by British new wave band Ultravox, first released on Chrysalis Records on 11 July 1980. The album was the first made by Ultravox with their best-known line-up, after Midge Ure had taken over as lead vocalist and guitarist following the departures of John Foxx and Robin Simon, and it was also the group's first release for Chrysalis. Vienna was produced by renowned German producer Conny Plank who had also produced Ultravox's previous album Systems of Romance, and mixed. Prince is the self-titled second studio album by American singer Prince. It was released on October 19, 1979 by Warner Bros. The album was written, arranged, composed, produced and performed entirely by Prince. Overall, Prince was regarded as more diverse than For You 1978, and performed better critically and commercially. Reviewing in Christgau's Record Guide: Rock Albums of the Seventies 1981, Robert Christgau wrote: This boy is going to be a big star, and he deserves it. Prince's albums discography consists of 39 studio albums including four soundtrack albums, four live albums, nine compilation albums including one soundtrack album, 17 video albums and three posthumous albums. See Prince singles discography for his singles and extended plays, and Prince videography for his music videos and video albums. Prince has sold over 100 million records worldwide, including 48. 9 million certified units in the United States, and over 10 million records in the United Kingdom. When Beethoven arrived in Vienna in November 1792, he had a letter of introduction from Count Waldstein to Prince Karl Lichnowsky, one of Vienna's foremost patrons of the arts. This secured him not just a small apartment - in the attic of the Lichnowsky's sumptuous apartment in the Alstergasse - but a patron of inestimable worth. The young man was soon performing at the Friday concerts held by Prince Lichnowsky in his salon, and meeting the men and women of influence in the arts. So taken were Prince and Princess Lichnowsky with their young lodger, that within a month they moved him. The Purple Ones discography rarely dipped below sublime sex-funk. We rank all 37 LPs from his polymathic 80s masterwork Sign O The Times to 2003s saxophone-heavy

Very rude cuts; very bad editing; no trackseparation. Save your money. BTW you can follow an intersting chat about recording. In old school style ratings this recording was B-

There's a discrepancy with the date of the show vs. what is listed on Princevault. According to the entry on Princevault, this is a recording of a secret, aftershow at U4 in Vienna on the 29th (not the 30th as stated on the sleeve). The first half of the show was a benefit by Madhouse; followed by Prince and this setlist. My copy of this album has a white cover with purple letters (contrary to the purple with white lettering shown on this page). But otherwise, it's identical. The recording was made from the audience. You can hear much of the crowd's chatter/discussions.
