Teksten til "Et samfund" er fra INGER CHRISTENSENs bog "det" og indspilningen stammer fra HENNING CARLSENs film "er I bange ?". De fem andre sange er en del af det program , vi spillede sammen på turneen "IVANHOES ELEFANTRUNDFART" i påsken, samme år.
først og sidst på side 1 og sidst på side 2, er der nogle korte optagelser fra elefantrundfarten i Ålborghallen. Det er SIGVALDI der giver lyde fra sig og læser op. Slutningen er introduktionen til historien om den ulykkelige Medardus.

Recorded June 1971 in Ivar Rosenberg's Studio, Copenhagen. The text for track B2 is from the book "det" by writer Inger Christensen - the recording was used in a film by director Henning Carlsen called "er I bange ?" (Are You Afraid ?). Remaining five songs were performed on the tour called "Ivanhoes Elefantrundfart", easter 1971.
In the beginning and the end of first side, and the end of second side, some short recordings from the tour, featuring Sigvaldi - at that time a famous street poet in Copenhagen.
