This debut from Seattle collective Pigeonhed is a purposefully eclectic and funky outing featuring co-creators Shawn Smith Satchel, Brad and grunge producer extraordinaire Steve Fisk Nirvana, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, etc. Branching way out for influences and sonic textures on this eponymous 1993 Sub Pop debut, the pair of highly respected artists put together a detailed and evocative landscape that was praised by critics for its rich material and sweeping yet earthy sound. Pigeonhed: American, Seattle based electronic band, that combines elements of funk, soul, trip hop, and lo-fi. The band is a collaboration of Shawn Smith and Steve Fisk, that released three albums during the period from 1993 to 1997. They reconvened in 2010. In 2015, they announced they were preparing to release their lost album 'Des Colores'. As of December 2019, no release has been made.
