Easily best pantera album the title tracks riff is arguably the best pantera riff ever. 3 The Great Southern Trendkill. The heaviest Pantera album. I love cowboys from hell vulgar display of power and far beyond driven, but this album is probably my most listened to pantera record. Really 4th place. A heavy but powerful album. You got some really extreme songs like the grey Southern trendkill and then you have some sombre and meaningful songs like 10s and floods. 4 Far Beyond Driven. A mean, extreme, heavy metal machine. Might even be heavier than Trendkill. Its a shame that Panteras final studio album was such a mixed bag. Panteras glam years are usually panned across the board, but the bands first album with Phil Anselmo on vocals remains an incredible record for any old-school metal fan. On Power Metal, the band hasnt quite locked down their signature sound, but that larval, unformed tone adds considerable charm. What a shocker right Alright, let me cut straight to the point with this album. IT SUCKS. This album is just hyped for a few songs that were hits from Pantera. In fact let me rephrase that, Pantera is entire career only revolves around certain songs that were popular and were major hits. I will never understand what people see in Vulgar Display Of Power. To me it's just trash. Pantera - Vulgar Display Of Power Full Album . Cowboys From Hell. Here we have the first album from the Groove Metal era of Pantera. I'd say that this is slightly better than Vulgar Display Of Power. It's not great, or horrible, it's fairly decent to say the least. Yet placed alongside any Pantera album featuring Phil Anselmo, Projects In The Jungle simply sounds like the very different band they then were. 7 I Am The Night 1985. We were into Iron Maiden, is simply how original Pantera singer Terry Glaze refers to the inspiration behind Panteras early music. Thats as maybe, but given the way this band helped shape the metal landscape in the wake of albums like Cowboys From Hell and Vulgar Display Of Power, any Pantera fan thinking about trying to seek out any of the bands first three albums should be warned.
