He established The Omen Club in Madrid in the early 90s. Oscar Mulero, born Oscar Mulero Crecente, is a techno producer and DJ from Madrid, and the owner of contemporary record labels Warm Up Recordings and Pole Recordings. Early Oscar Mulero release. The A side shows two more moderate tracks, intensity wise. Dario's Track is a loopy techno tune with some tribal drums in the background, and nervous sounds at the forefront. A few effective breaks and - voila - club friendly material still usable today. Brno is a ticking minimal number, which progressess at a slower pace, with a haunting and hypnotic melody, sounding almost as it was composed on a harp, though I doubt it. There's a break halfway through, and then along with the melody Oscar introduces this spooky sound, which evokes images of an old rusty door slowly getting opened by an invisible hand in a horror flick!
The flips side has two bangers. Both are four to the floor stompers, with pounding bass lines, heavy percussion and a constantly present clanging sound. Lost would be my pick, as it is one of those raw, stripped and powerfully advanceing pieces of techno which just bang on and beg you to dance along. With that high pitched sound throughout it works the dance floors any given time.
Worth checking out, though not among his better work.
