The Letting Go is a 2006 studio album by Bonnie Prince Billy. It was released on Drag City. The album was recorded in Reykjavík, Iceland and produced by Valgeir Sigurðsson, who is known for his work with the Icelandic artist Björk. The arrangement was done by Nico Muhly. Dawn McCarthy of Faun Fables also sings on the album. The album's title comes from the last lines of the Emily Dickinson poem that starts After a Great Pain, A Formal Feeling Comes. This is the hour of lead. Olympian is the 1995 debut album by British rock band Gene, released on 20 March 1995 by Costermonger Records. It is frequently recognized as one of the crowning achievements of Britpop. The album sound is noted for being influenced by The Smiths, The Jam & The Small Faces. Aesthetically, the album cover reminds of The Smiths' sleeves. The album reached number 8 in the UK albums chart, selling 70,000 copies and gaining a silver disc.
