It was the groups first full-length project following the departure of Ice Cube in 1989 and following the release of the groups 1990 EP 100 Miles and Runnin'. The album, primarily written by MC Ren and The . took the profane lyrics of Straight Outta Compton and went even harder over soundscapes provided by Dr. Dre and DJ Yella. The group also took multiple shot at Ice Cube, comparing him to notorious traitor Benedict Arnold for leaving the group, ca.
