God's Light, Withdrawn is a short collection of songs inspired by nature, the woods, Albert Camus, and the Bulgarian State Radio & Television Female Vocal Choir. Using limited instrumentation, mainly consisting of a borrowed children's Casio keyboard, what started off as a songwriting exercise utilising restrictions has become a thoughtful, inspired, and inventive work in its own right, and a worthy addition to the Now Wakes the Sea catalogue.
