Music-wise, this is a fantastic Nina Simone album, but the thicker 2004 reissue on vinyl should definitely be avoided. Compared to the original and authentic RCA Dynaflex pressing, this reissue sounds like it was pressed on cardboard and mastered from poor quality MP3s I don't know what the later 180 gram vinyl reissue sounds like, but I sure hope it's better than the 2004 version. I respect Nina Simone as an artist, but I can't pretend liking the Jazz genre or all of her songs. With that said, I have listened to all of her albums and so far I am down to 15 tracks of hers that I enjoy going back to. One of them is Dambala, possibly my favorite Nina Simone track.
