After a somewhat schmaltzy syncopated introduction to Billy Strayhorn's tune written for Duke Ellington and his long-time theme song, Take the A' Train, Nikki launches into a lusciously swinging improvised solo. Rework the intro into a swinging straight ahead arrangement and this tune would be near-perfect. When Nikki sang it on her first album, though, she sang it lovingly and emotionally as a jazz standard that was a highlight of that concert.
