Face Down in the Gutter of Love was released on CD in 1993 after almost 2 years of recording. Back in those days I wrote and performed under the pseudonym "Nick Miles." The first session took place in June of 1991 at Rubberball Studio in North Brunswick, NJ and was recorded by Terry Hughes. The first 4 tracks and the last track on this edition come from that session. Mike Kreunch supplied the electronic percussion and Terry provided the weird background music.

Sessions resumed in the winter of 1992 with Paul Sinuk providing additional voice as well as instrumentation, and Terry back behind the board. Jim Gibson and Mike Kreunch also supplied additional music. Most of the material here comes from those sessions. The equipment we used was a Tascam multi-track recorder, a DAT machine (new at the time ), a dual cassette deck, an ancient sampler, a Roland drum machine, most of Big T's vintage mic collection, and loads of vocal FX. Paul Sinuk also provided the photo for the cover of the album.

For this 21st Anniversary Remastered Edition, Andrew Mittelman and I edited, resequenced and remastered the whole album at Sound Generation, NYC in the winter of 2014. Henry Beer re-tooled the artwork. Jim Gibson prepared the album for release and Mike Kreunch maintained the archives.
