Short intro
That's Not Funny, That's Sick is an American album of sketch comedy that was first released as a vinyl record in 1977. It was a spin-off from National Lampoon magazine. The album is a collection of sketches from the National Lampoon Radio Hour, a radio show that was broadcast on 600 radio stations and ran from November 17, 1973 to December 28, 1974. The sketches on That's Not Funny, That's Sick star John Belushi, Brian Doyle-Murray, Bill Murray, and Christopher Guest, and feature, among others. I was delighted that it has held up so well after all this time-and I haven't smoked any weed in nearly twenty years The voice talent is incredible and you will certainly recognize a young Bill Murray as well as his brother Brian-Doyle Murray. There are several classic bits like Confession and Pulp that make the whole album worth buying. Read more. Not that National Lampoon was ever known for being particularly sensitive, but on this one they threw away what little internal censorship they might have employed in fact when reissued in CD format in 2004 the package carried a parental warning label. Ignoring their earlier penchant for politically oriented comedy, this time out the focus was on more mundane topics ranging from free form college radio, confession, and big oil greed with a special focus on potty mouth deliveries. With Bill Murray and brother Brian Dole-Murray running amok through the proceedings, most of the LP was actually. National Lampoon Radio Dinner is a comedy album from National Lampoon that was first released in 1972. The humor on the album was very much steeped in the pop culture of the era and includes such subjects as game shows, the 1972 presidential election, and popular music parodies such as Deteriorata and Pull the Tregros, a parody of Joan Baez. Gold Turkey is an American album of sketch comedy that was first released as a vinyl record in 1975. The album is a collection of greatest hits from the National Lampoon.
