It's one hell of an album, as short as it is.I for one don't care that it's so short, or that it's pressed on two 12"s.The tracks are all fantastic, and the 45rpm pressing sounds incredible.Hey, get up off your lard asses and flip the records.Tasty rave-infused insanity awaits.

I'm a huge sucker for Mr. Oizo's dirty minimalistic slow-fi beats. Heavy shit for sure.

Why a 2 lp ?

It simply is senseless to split a release on two physical mediums if it would fit on one without an issue.

I dont know what you are all going on about it sounds dope as hell on vinyl and one reason why is because it is not squeezed on one record. you can play it on 45rpm because it is made on two records and this is providing the extra crisp in your speakers. And for second your not really thinking they make that much more money because it is a 2xlp we are talking about records almost nobody makes that much of records that you would make a 2xlp just for greeds sake. An for third i like the fact that it is on two records, shure if you just want to listen to it you have to flip a lot of times but if you want to mix/DJing it its nice that the hole album is not sqeezed on two sides. Go Oizo

Each side can play at 45rpm that way, which sounds better. For such a short album though, it could have been pressed on 1 LP at 33rpm and still sounded decent

yea i dont understand why more labels are doing this(i mean except for greed and higher markup cost). it tends to interfere with the progression of the music imo in this case where its not necessary due to time or sound quality : i guess it may be good for people who dj vinyl though but in that case make a promo/dj version~

Just picked this up. Completely agree that this should have been a single LP pressing, the only perk being that each side spins at 45RPM and sounds all the more fantastic for it. For an album this short though, pressing this on two records was a terrible move, unfortunately something that's happening a lot lately with modern releases. If anyone based in the UK is interested in picking the album up, I got it for £13 with free shipping over at the Ninja Tune website, far cheaper than the marketplace listings here.http://ninjatune.net/release/mr-oizo/the-church

diesel64 Marketing, probably. You can justify a higher price point for a double album. And for the customer it creates the incorrect feeling to have "more bang for your buck".The result is that for this album the duration of the sides are:Side A: 8:25Side B: 6:07Side C: 7:18Side D: 9:09This is just ridiculous and even worse than the Flying Lotus album. I will probably not be buying this album just because of that. I want to flip my records in between listening to the music. Not listen to the music a bit in between flipping records. Yes, that's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm not buying this on vinyl, simply because of the higher price they think they can charge buy spreading a record over 2 lps. I'll just burn the digital version i've already got to a cd

It's strange, FlyLo's been weird about that lately (Ex: You're Dead).
