Motörhead are typically classified as Rock N Roll by Lemmy and band members, and their fusion of punk rock into the genre helped to pioneer speed metal and thrash metal. Their lyrics typically covered such topics as war, good versus evil, abuse of power, promiscuous sex, substance abuse, and, most famously, gambling. The name Motörhead is a reference to users of the drug amphetamine. Motorhead - We Are Motörhead 2000. This is Motörhead's first proper studio album. They had previously recorded the album On Parole for United Artists Records, which was intended for a 1976 release, but the record company refused to release it. For this album, the band chose to record On Parole again in almost its entirety, with only Fools and Leaving Here not being re-recorded at these sessions.
