Short intro
Monty Python's Flying Circus is the first album produced by the Monty Python troupe, released in both the UK and US in 1970, with the US version featuring a back cover slightly different from the original UK version. It features newly recorded versions of sketches from the first Monty Python's Flying Circus television series. Next to the television show itself, the album was the first piece of media the Pythons released. It is noted that Terry Gilliam was not included as a member of Python on the. Monty Python's Flying Circus. Oddly, and perhaps owing to legal rather than artistic reasons, Monty Python's Flying Circus 1970 remains unavailable to modern listeners on compact disc. While all of the characters may not be as fully-formed - such as the sincere and butch Chapman persona used in The Visitors - this is a worthwhile find, if not a somewhat compulsory primer for all enthusiasts. Monty Pythons Flying Circus also known as Flying Circus or, during the final series, just Monty Python is a BBC sketch comedy programme from the Monty Python comedy team, and the groups initial claim to fame. The show was noted for its surreal plots, risqué or innuendo-laden humour, sight gags, and sketches without punchlines. It also featured the animations of Terry Gilliam which were often sequenced or merged with live action. Monty Pythons Flying Circus , a BBC comedy series starring Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin with animation by Terry Gilliam, made its debut on BBC1 on October 5, 1969. There were 4 series in total and the programmes now-iconic sketches included: Bicycl. Flying Sheep, French Lecture on Sheep-Aircraft, A Man With Three Buttocks, A Man With Two Noses, Musical Mice, Marriage Guidance Counselor, The Wacky Queen, Working-Class Playwright, A Scotsman on a Horse, The Wrestling Epilogue, and The Mouse Problem. A compilation drawn from various films, TV series, and performance sketches, The Final Rip Off consists of two CDs of absolute classics. One of the very first tracks is the famous Constitutional Peasant scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The Final Rip-Off was a labor of love on the part of the Pythons: released in the late '80s, this collection was not only a fun sampling of some of their best comedy skits, it was also very lovingly remastered. Some of the original versions of these skits didn't have the musical flourish that they have hereRelated to Monty Python - Monty Python's Flying Circus
