Short intro
Workin', Steamin' - John Coltrane, The Miles Davis Quintet. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Workin' with the Miles Davis Quintet is a studio album by the Miles Davis quintet recorded in 1956 and released circa January 1960. Two sessions on May 11, 1956 and October 26 in the same year resulted in four albums-this one, Relaxin' with the Miles Davis Quintet, Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet and Cookin' with the Miles Davis Quintet. Track 2 is a composition written for Davis by Eddie Vinson see Blue Haze for more details. Trane's Blues also known as Vierd Blues, a tongue-in-cheek. A primary consideration of these fruitful sessions is the caliber of musicians - Miles Davis trumpet, Red Garland piano, John Coltrane tenor sax, and Philly Joe Jones drums - who were basically doing their stage act in the studio. As actively performing musicians, the material they are most intimate with would be their live repertoire. The Miles Davis Quintet: все альбомы, включая Blues Sounds from Miles Davis , Cookin', Relaxin', Workin' and Steamin' , The Greatest Jazz & Blues Music of Alltime, Vol. 32 и другие. Miles Davis - Steamin' With The Miles Davis Quintet Recorded: On 11 May and 26 October 1956 The Personnel: Miles Davis - Trumpet John Coltrane - free to Miles Davis Workin' and Steamin' It Never Entered My Mind, Four and more. 14 tracks 80:53. Though Miles Davis was a huge fan of the Ahmad Jamal trio and covered several tunes in the Pittsburgh pianists repertoire, he and Coltrane sat out on Ahmads Blues. Instead, Miles lets the trio of Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones take centre stage, seemingly replicating the point in his live shows when he and Coltrane took a breather. In Workins original liner notes, writer Jack Maher also states that Davis was keen for Bob Weinstock to hear what Red Garland could do in a trio setting. Evidently, the producer was impressed by Garlands sparkling right-hand runs and signed t. Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet. Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet is a studio album by the Miles Davis quintet, recorded in 1956 but not released until July or August 1961. Two sessions on May 11, 1956 and October 26 in the same year resulted in four albums: this one, Relaxin' with The Miles Davis Quintet, Workin' with The Miles Davis Quintet and Cookin' with the Miles Davis Quintet. Prestige LP 7200: Miles Davis trumpet. Steamin' by Miles Davis Audio CD . In Stock. Ships from and sold by . Workin' presents an easygoing program that balances ballads with the blues and includes quintet performances of originals by Davis Four, Half Nelson, Coltrane Trane's Blues, and Dave Brubeck In Your Own Sweet Way an interpretation of the standard It Never Entered My Mind without saxophone and a piano-trio. Workin' is not my favorite album of the four, but again, purchasing this set is just a no-brainer. Ahmad's Blues is worth this disc alone. Enjoy .
