Mika Vainio is half of Finland's popular Pan Sonic project. His infrequent solo recordings curtail the deviant slaughterhouse techno inclinations of Pan Sonic, but the essential matter-chilly electronic noise generated with home-built analog devices-remains the same. He began his musical career playing electronics and drums as part of the early Finnish industrial and noise scene.
