Which was the also home of grunge artists Buzz Osborne The Melvins, Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic of Nirvana. They released their self titled album in eighty four. Things went well for a while, they were signed to prominent labels and they had a couple of videos on MTV. But in the nineties, grunge and alternative rock took over the music market in the states. Subsequently Metal Church broke up in ninety five, due to poor album sales. Live is the first and until 2017 the only live album of heavy metal band Metal Church. The tracks were recorded at various locations during 1986 by the first Metal Church line-up and shelved for many years with little documentation about their origin. Only the track Start the Fire was previously released in the late 1980s, albeit with a different mix and possible studio treatment, on a compilation album called Time to Rock. David Wayne - vocals.
