TH1RT3EN has several levels of meaning, which Dave Mustaine, who first picked up an axe at the age of 13, reveals, saying, I was born on September 13th this is my thirteenth record. It just seemed like it was the right thing to do to call it TH1RT3EN. Mustaine is incredibly proud of the music put forth on the new recording, This record is the culmination of my work over the 13 records I recorded. There are moments on TH1RT3EN that capture my every emotion, and other moments where I am releasing feelings I never knew existed My proudest moments of my musical career are captured on. Th1rt3en is the thirteenth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth. It was released worldwide on November 1, 2011, by Roadrunner Records, although the album was released on October 26, 2011 for Japan. Thirteen is the first Megadeth studio album since The World Needs a Hero 2001 to feature bassist and founding member David Ellefson, who returned to the band in 2010. The album broke into the top 20 in several other markets as well. It has sold about 120,000 copies in the United States. Megadeth - TH1RT3EN 2011. stylized as TH1RT3EN is the thirteenth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth. It was released worldwide on November 1, 2011, making it the second Megadeth album after Youthanasia in 1994 to be released on that date however, the Japanese release occurred earlier on October 26, 2011. Thirteen was the third and final album as part of the band's contract with Roadrunner Records. It is also the first Megadeth studio album since The World Needs a Hero 2001 to feature bassist and founding member Dave Ellefson, who returned to the band in 2010. The lead single from T. Th1rt3en. Type: Full-length. Release date: November 1st, 2011. Catalog ID: 1686-177002. Black Swan was originally written for the Youthanasia recording sessions. Much of the aptly named Th1rt3en feels vintage, from the familiar political themes on We the People and the tightly wound, Dio-esque riffing on Public Enemy No. 1 to the soft, melodramatic military snare intro of Never Dead, which eventually explodes into a wicked blast of retro-thrash that feels positively invigorating, not redundant. Megadeth revisits the past on 'TH1RT3EN' in ways that defy nostalgia, mining gold from dusty rehearsal tapes. Ellefson has said that the main riff from 'Deadly Nightshade' has been around since the mid-90s. For the most part, this willingness to embrace their legacy serves them extremely well. This is a more than worthy addition to the Megadeth canon and one that reveals itself further upon repeated listening. However, it's hard to shake the feeling that the whole affair could have been ratcheted up a notch higher. Tracks like 'Sudden Death' and 'Never DRelated to Megadeth - Th1rt3en
