Mary Davis, from Savannah, Georgia, was the lead singer for the R&BFunk group, The . Band from its inception until she pursued a solo career in 1987. The only song she released that year was 'Steppin Out', which didnt get much attention. She released her only album, Separate Ways in 1990, which featured the songs 'Dont Wear It Out' and 'Have You Been Loved' which were produced by L. Reid & Babyface.
