Periodically, task forces were formed to try to garner the necessary funds, but each time the costs were deemed prohibitive and the idea was abandoned. As the Melbourne campus of BCC began to reflect a pattern of growth, the college was then able to justify the construction of an auditorium-one that would not only fulfill the needs of the college, but also the long-identified cultural needs of Brevard County. Today, the 126,000-square-foot facility includes a 2016-seat performing arts hall, 250-seat Studio Theatre, art display areas, dance studios and rehearsal halls. Knopfler isn't pining for the past but he is looking back, sometimes wistfully, sometimes with a resigned smile, and he appropriately draws upon sounds that he's long loved. Usually, this means some variation of pub rock - the languid ballad River Towns, the lazy shuffle Skydiver, the two-chord groove of Broken Bones - but this is merely the foundation from which Knopfler threads in a fair amount of olde British folk and other roots digressions. Mark Knopfler: British singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He was the lead guitarist, singer, and songwriter for the rock band Dire Straits, which he co-founded with his younger brother, David Knopfler, in 1977. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland and raised near Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Someday, Postcards From Paraguay, Boom, Like That и другие песни
